Tarragona returns to celebrate its Festival, the Festivities of Santa Tecla, and does so with a full program of activities that will again fill streets and squares of much fuss.
There will be proposals such as the new edition of the Festival La Terraceta, with concerts, circus, cinema, talks and activities of transforming culture; or the more traditional as the human fire runs, typical dances of Catalonia with reeds or the Festival of human castles, among others.

The wildest alternative rock comes to the city! Superatomica, a band from Tarragona, combines '90s rock with experimental sounds in an intense live performance. They present their album, New Planet Same Sin, with influences from Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, and QOTSA, and a unique energy.

The Voramar del Serrallo Devils' Group celebrates its thirty-five years with various popular festivals! Enjoy some of the best plans: a good plate of mussels in front of the sea, a good atmosphere and lots of organized fun.

The biggest blood donation campaign of the year will begin on Friday and will also run until Saturday! The donation will take place at the Tarragona Theater from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m were more than 800 people are expected to participate, helping to maintain blood supplies. Appointments can be made on the blood bank's website. 
During the summer donations typically decline, having fallen this year by 20% between July and August.

The event, held on the First Sunday of the Santa Tecla Festival, was established in 2005 with the aim of promoting the city's major human tower events beyond the local festivals and the competition. Participating are the two best Tarragona groups, La Jove and Els Xiquets de Tarragona, along with two other high-level guest groups, the Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls and the Castellers de Vilafranca.
